The UK Planning API is operated by Ronel Vermeer, 36 Solent Drive, Bolton, BL3 1RN, United Kingdom. Contact: RonelVermeer@gmail.com.
We provide programmatic access to UK planning data — planning applications, enforcement notices and appeals — via a REST API and an MCP server. Access is authenticated with an API key issued to a verified email address.
The data is collected from local planning authority portals and the Planning Inspectorate. It is provided as published by those sources. We do not correct, complete or warrant it.
Coverage is uneven and varies substantially by council and by field. We publish measured coverage per council through the API and on our coverage explorer, and responses distinguish "no data held" from "no record exists". You must not treat an absent record as evidence that no such record exists.
The service is not a substitute for an official local authority search, and must not be presented as one to consumers or in a conveyancing process.
You may not:
The Developer plan is free. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance by Direct
Debit via GoCardless, in pounds sterling. Quotas run per calendar month (UTC)
and are shared across REST and MCP. Usage is visible in your dashboard and via
GET /v1/usage.
You may cancel at any time from your dashboard; access continues to the end of the paid period and is not refunded pro rata. We may suspend an account for non-payment or breach of section 4.
No uptime is guaranteed on any plan. Data is refreshed on a schedule, not in real time; several derived datasets are rebuilt nightly and responses report when they were built.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid in that period. We are not liable for decisions taken in reliance on the data, including property purchase, lending or development decisions. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud.
We may change these terms and will post the updated version here. Material changes affecting paid plans will be emailed to the address on the account.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
