We do not set advertising or analytics cookies. The only cookie is the session cookie that keeps you signed in.

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read, but we run it in cookieless mode: it stores nothing on your device, so we cannot recognise you on a later visit and there is no cookie to consent to. It records the page you viewed, the site or search that sent you, and a truncated IP address used only to infer country. Google acts as our processor for this and we have disabled advertising signals.

3. How we protect it

API keys and sign-in links are stored only as SHA-256 hashes — we cannot recover either, which is why a key is shown once. Sign-in links are single-use and expire in 15 minutes. Session cookies are signed, and no key material is stored in them.

4. Who we share it with

GoCardless (payment processing, paid plans only) and our email provider, for sending sign-in links. We do not sell personal data. Data is held in the UK/EU.

5. Personal data inside the planning data

UK planning records are published by local planning authorities as a matter of public record and contain personal data — applicant names, agent names, case officer names and site addresses. We collect this from published sources and make it available through the API.

If you are named in a planning record and want it removed from this service, email us and we will consider the request. Note that we cannot remove it from the council's own published register, which is the source.

6. Your rights

You may request a copy of your personal data, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing, and may object to processing. Email RonelVermeer@gmail.com. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
